This is perfect and there are so many rich lines throughout. "The hiss and the heat / the once-in-a-lifetimes carved into the old timbre seats" is ugh, ergh, so, so good. So good.

Oh my goodness, this is so lush and rich, Niki. These lyrics really set the scene beautifully, and your voice floats over it all effortlessly. I loved singing along (with some harmonies). Beautiful work here. <3

I love the 'Kiss and the hiss' line. Really that whole stanza. A lovely and very hopeful song.

Yup, this is wonderful. I too just love those lyrics in the chorus - also noticing the juxtaposition of intangibles (poor/fairer, rich/aged) with very concrete elements (stench/hiss/heat/timber seats). Good stuff Niki! Also is that you in the photo by any chance?

Note about the song: First song written with covid. Bit of a ramble on this, hit record and just ran with it. It was a challenge to try to focus on something a bit more structured. I'm honestly just glad to have been able to get this out. Be well, friends.
