Each stage represents a different phase of dementia: - **Stage 1**: Nostalgic and clear, reflecting the early signs of memory loss. - **Stage 2**: Slightly fragmented, as confusion begins to set in. - **Stage 3**: Increasingly disjointed, with loops and distortions symbolizing cognitive decline. - **Stage 4**: Chaotic and unsettling, marking the loss of coherent thought. - **Stage 5**: Dark and isolating, as the individual retreats into their mind. - **Stage 6**: A void of noise and silence, representing the final stages of dementia.

Day 5- More rations have disappeared, and it's getting much colder then normal. Had no luck on finding my dog, so now we're just sitting at the site in silence. I miss my dog. he was my best friend...I heard some rustling near the area the other day, and I went to check it out. More deer marks. Maybe a deer lives near the area? Hopefully it, it wouldn't be the best place to live for one. I went back to the site to see my fr-...oh right. I have no friends. My schizophrenia is getting worse...

The Caretaker conjures a quieter, more introspective spirit, lost in his own mind amidst a low-lit labyrinth of ever-decaying and antediluvian shellac phrases. Sourced from a mysterious collection of 78s, these vague snippets of archaic sonics reflect the ability of Alzheimers patients to recall the songs of their past, and with them recollections of places, people, moods and sensations.
