About the piece:
Imagine the moment you found out you loss something you hold dear about.
The moment of panic, of frustration.
You would feel to punch something right here and then due to that overwhelming feeling of
self defeat.
It was feeling that you might break down any moment, and the only way one stays conscious is
to lie that everything is okay, and cling on to this false hope.
But in the end,
You will accept that fate and life moves on.
That was the feeling the composer trying to evoke through this piece.

About the Piece:
Kecak Sayang, A Dance of Love is a dedication to the land that inspires love towards diversity and nature -- Indonesia. This composition fuses polyrhythmic, formal elements of the Kecak dance and the pelog scale with Indonesian folk songs "Rasa Sayang" and "Asing Sing So", showing the diverse facets of love: uplifting, heart-warming, and even excitement.

The meaning of the two words from the title is as follows : Kecak is a form of dance from Bali, famous for its polyrhythmic chants of the word "Ke-cak". Sayang means love from Indonesia.

About the Piece

This piece is a reflection of the contradictions of my thoughts when I just starting learning composition. The lack of compositional ability makes notating and developing my ideas a daunting task; but the passion to write beautiful music gives me strength to overcome these obstacles. The clash of the two main themes depicts the dramatic conflict of my realities and dreams. 

此曲是我开始转作曲专业时心里矛盾的写照。作曲能力不足的我面对着重重的困难；然而心里想创作美好音乐的梦让我鼓起勇气一步一步脱离困境！现实的冲击与坚持梦想成为两个对比的音乐形象在乐曲中穿插与发展，构成这首戏剧性的乐曲。

About the Piece:
《云舞韶华》取材于唐代诗人白居易的长篇叙事诗《长恨歌》，此曲描述唐玄宗李隆基与杨贵妃杨玉环相遇、相爱的美好时光。唐玄宗成天沉溺酒色，不理朝政。每日伴舞醉酒昏迷的他根本无法预判此举所带来的悲剧 — 失去江山，牺牲爱人。标题《云舞韶华》的舞字带有双意:亦是舞蹈; 也是玩弄。
This piece was composed based on Tang Dynasty poet BaiJüyi's long narrative poem “Song of Everlasting Regret”. The piece depicts the scenes of Tang dynasty emperor Xuanzong of Tang with Yang Guifei meeting, falling in love. The emperor was immersed in wine and beauty that he neglected his empire. In the passing of drunken days, the emperor was in the end, facing his tragedy - the lost of his empire and the sacrifice of his lover. The word dance （舞） in the title have double meaning, once is the literal dance, and the other was being fooled, symbolizing that the dance of a beauty also fools one into failure.

This piece was premiered on August 2019 at HuaYun Concert "Dance of Nepal"
