Destruction’s Disciple

File 16: Agent Carbon, WNAA.

A former MDI agent until they took his soul, modified it and transferred it into a dead girl,  Carbon leads the WNAA in their operations to do what the MDI does without crossing the line and killing innocent people who just so happened to have powers. He has no soul at the moment, so pardon his complete apathy for anything but his own survival.

“Welcome to Skull City, the setting for battles against the forces of evil known as the Legion of Evil Guys, as well as some other people like the Stone Acolytes or whatever. Yeah, we have superheroes here. Their team doesn’t have a name.”

Abnormality is the name of the game in ERAMTHGIN, and everything points to an atmosphere of “I have no idea what is happening but it scares me.” Also the double theremin goes hard. Inspired by old alien movies a la It Came From Outer Space, which you see a lot in my work. That or Toby Fox.

Strings of Fate

The first track I made for my new game I’m never gonna make, Aegis. It’s the theme for the game’s main antagonist, Contritus, who… I won’t spoil it for you.

I really like symphonic rock, can you tell? My brief for this was “cartoonishly evil pure malice supervillain who has a big tower with lightning and cackles maniacally and practices his one-liners in the mirror before every battle” and this is what I spat out.

Contritus’ Approach (WIP I think)

Argent the Cunning is a part-fox man in charge of Contritus’ beasts. He has taken a great interest in the new technology made as a result of… something very important.

I’m very exposed to dance anthems, what with them being a favourite genre of someone I share a house with, so I made something inspired by those. Why’d I give the furry a dance anthem? Sometimes things just feel right, and this is one of those times. It’s fun, the bass hits HARD and I really leaned into the fact that the choirs I use in my music are samples (intentionally).

Ok, see the thumbnail? That thing’s called The Spirit of Nature. This is their boss theme. The best way to describe it is by saying I wanted to make something that sounded like what The Spirit looks like. I think it’s mysterious, powerful and foreboding, as well as just sounding nice.

I wanted to make a track that sounded calming, but also solemn, with a sense that there’s unfinished business. I originally made this theme for breaking free from a dream, but I’ve decided to just use it as game over music. Is it good? Does it work? I don’t know, but I hope so.
