The kick cuts through the trees like a scythe, calling out to her, drawing her closer. It comes from every direction, the purr of the bass slipping through the forest like low-hanging mist.

The primal, metronomic pressure of the beat enmeshes with his lycanthropic howl. The sound is everywhere, and impossible to get a fix on. It rains down from on high, sticking her cloak to her skin and slicking his fur. It rises from the earth, seeping between her toes.

Within this secret glade they meet, alone except for the rotting leaves and creeping moss. Here they become one, disparate egos dissolved in a cocktail of chemical impulses, dopamine responses and the instinctive urgency of the sound that surrounds and consumes them.

Developed his own personal style and has been imprinting it in every single release. This one is no exception. "Vortex Plain" is the second track in Phase XX, released in celebration of LUNAT1K’s 20th birthday. Continuing the exploration of personal sound and style shaped over years of music production and DJing, it blends influences from Detroit techno, hardgroove, and acid. A slightly acidic bassline drives the rhythm forward, while layered pads create a deep, hypnotic backdrop. Penetrating, expressive detrot-style synth and percussion cut through the mix, adding intensity and movement. Built with analog emulation tools, the track carries the warmth and raw texture of classic hardware, capturing a balance between control and unpredictability.
