Returning on Trick for his second solo outing following his 2022 ‘One & Only’ EP, Ōsé brings his darker-leaning take house & techno to a new high-octane three-track EP. Born and bred in Chicago, the up-and-comer has dropped a string of releases on quality labels such as Arcane, Relief and his own 5150.

“Heavy Metal isn’t just a genre of music; it’s an attitude and how you carry yourself. It’s being authentically yourself, whether you’re a rocker, raver or somewhere in between. Title track, ‘Heavy Metal’ wastes no time in bringing rave-ready energy with its deadly acid-licked bassline and distorted monotone notes before ‘Lend An Ear’ cranks things up a notch, combining driving kicks and bass with claustrophobic synth work. Closing out the EP is the aptly named ‘7 Minutes In Heaven’, a seven-minute techno workout utilising swinging percussion and ominous vocals.

Paris-based DJ & producer AIROD aka Dario Brkic returns to Amelie Lens’ Lenske for his second 12” on the Belgian label, ‘Rave Cycle’. Previous solo EPs on Molekul, on his Elixyr and the acclaimed ‘Voltage’ EP on Lenske earlier this year have brought him to play at some of the most emblematic clubs of the international circuit and become part of the Exhale showcases. Following a new round of bombastic releases by the Lenske crew: Farrago, Milo Spykers and Lens herself, it’s now the turn for the Elixyr Records boss to bring the heat. 

As expected from AIROD, this new record sounds like it could have been released in 1994. He uses references from rave, acid and gabber together with his fresh approach, the result are 4 club-ready cuts to hit massive sound systems.
