Actual Rough Draft

Project for a music course.

Ran into about 3 major roadblocks on the way with this track. Not super pleased with the end result, but its at the point where I would pretty much wipe out the entire project and start from scratch if I was making this for a project I was going to publish, commercial or not. Rather than do that, I decided to close the book on it, and move on to the next one.

The track was intended as a theme to suit Chief from Armored Core V. I think it... sort of does it. I wanted to start the piano track as is, and then distort it after the first 8 bars, but don't have the plugins for the sound I wanted. That's when I decided to call it quits on the track. I started working on one for Jack Batty from the same game, but wasn't able to put together something I liked so switched to Chief.

The general idea was to do something classical, and then add some really heavy electronic sounds. G minor had that sort of playful sinister tone to it that fit Chief's established character pretty well so I stayed in that.

Never was able to get this to something I'd publish outside of educational purposes, but I'll be glad to move on and start something else. Learned a lot working on it so the primary mission objective was accomplished.
