Synthwave and Vaporwave are two genres of electronic music with roots in the 1980s and 1990s.

Synthwave, often referred to as Retrowave or Outrun, is characterized by its nostalgic and futuristic sound inspired by 1980s pop culture, video games, and sci-fi movies. The genre typically features synthesizers, drum machines, and nostalgic imagery in both its music and artwork. Synthwave artists often pay homage to the sounds of artists like Giorgio Moroder, Vangelis, and John Carpenter, and draw inspiration from movies like Blade Runner and Tron. Notable artists in the genre include Kavinsky, Perturbator, and Carpenter Brut.

Vaporwave, on the other hand, emerged in the early 2010s as a subversive and ironic take on consumerist culture and the digital age. The genre is characterized by its heavy use of sampling, slowed-down and chopped-up production techniques, and nostalgic references to 1980s and 1990s pop culture. Vaporwave often incorporates elements of smooth jazz, elevator music, and corporate muzak, creating a surreal and dreamy aesthetic. Notable artists in the genre include Macintosh Plus, Floral Shoppe, and Saint Pepsi.

Both Synthwave and Vaporwave have gained underground popularity and a dedicated following in recent years, with artists and fans alike drawn to their unique blend of nostalgia, irony, and experimentation in electronic music.

With this track i wanted to give the listener a good entry into the 1980s. It contains mainly elements of Synthwave and Vaporwave but with a touch of Trance and Techno which i personally like to name either 'Trancewave' or 'Synthtech'.
