I wrote the song "Earn It Up" because I needed to shout out the truth I’ve learned about life: nothing truly valuable is ever just handed to you. I’m tired of the idea of entitlement; I wanted to create an anthem for the grind—for the people who understand that the deepest satisfaction comes not from an easy win, but from the effort and struggle it takes to get there. Whether it's respect, a major career goal, or simply peace of mind, my song celebrates the feeling of looking back and knowing you worked for, and truly deserve, every good thing you have. It's a reminder that we have to step up and earn our way forward.

Octave Buzzkillington is a janitor during the day working at the new baroque ballroom in Washington D.C. and hiding a pianist virtuosity after the sun is down and the ballroom left to itself. He can only play one masterpiece. The last movement “Scherzando ma Vendetta” of the “Evil” Piano Concerto in CBD Flat Medium Rare Opus 666 decomposed by Syrel because the composer was smoking cannabis while composing that concerto. Unfortunately, Octave Buzzkillington is also a psychopath and kills woman on the younger side during the night. He cleans his mess perfectly and complete his compulsive obsession by practicing over and over the same music, the last movement of the “Evil” Piano Concerto in CBD Flat Medium Rare by Syrel which disappeared mysteriously when the East wing was demolished. Only the Scherzando ma Vendetta movement was found few years ago by Octave while cleaning the Steinway Grand of the ballroom. Will Octave be able to continue his sequential killing without being caught by the police before his president being convicted for felony? Noooo, he will get a grace from his president.

Musical Note: Better have 6 fingers in each hands, seven if you are lucky and hands 12 inches wide to play that one Mr. Rachmaninoff. Syrel likes to use the classical cliché and there are plenty of those in the piano repertoire. Some concertos, if not most, could be summarized into a 15 minutes masterpiece if you remove all the uninspired filling, arpeggios and repetitions. Nevertheless, I believe it sounds more like Chopin. What do you think?

       Hello everybody, hope nobody got a bellyache from all that Halloween candy!!🎃 I'm about all Halloweend out!! Now that we got the Treats out of the way, this song will have plenty of Tricks, Dirty Tricks that is!!👀 This is an old song I wrote and Charlie and I sang it back in 2006. It's very suggestive and a little risque but old school, like me!! They can't all be tender love ballads, you know!  It's an upbeat song with a nice hook and pretty good lyrics!

The video is brand new, I finished it before I went on my vacation to London! The video and song is for adults, Halloween time is over now kiddies! Charlie sang it well and I jammed out on some lead guitar. I hope everybody keeps an open mind and just digs it for the groove! A companion piece to "Winter Waltz."

Lately, I've been in a "waltz-writing" mode. There's something about a waltz that is both sentimental and energizing at the same time, which makes it very appealing. This particular waltz is an improvisation that I recorded a month or so ago on my old Yamaha Clavinova, and then promptly forgot about it.  I managed to uncover it just in time, before Autumn "waltzes" away. It contains some of the charming "flaws" that come with recording on a 25-year-old instrument, then attempting to master it. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it, as well as the rest of the Autumn season!

Plot of this too long movie « The Worst Wing »: The White House has turned dark not because of the storm, but because of its current tenant — yes, the President. A dumb dictator who is totally unfit for the job and rotten with corruption. There is nothing right in his left brain, and there is nothing left in his right brain. Nixon was a toddler conman compared to this one. Moreover, he is surrounded by idiots and completely incompetent clowns. From brain-wormed to drunk power-freak War Lord to master of lies, the variety of imbeciles he has appointed as secretaries is outstanding. Can he and his bunch of morons survive until the next elections? Will the shit finally hit the fan? For sure there is a lot of drama ahead.

Musical Note: Some of you may have recognized in background the British drinking song  “To Anacreon in Heaven”, written around 1770 by John Stafford Smith (Yes you should google it and listen to it on YouTube). However you may not know that the American lawyer Francis Scott Key on September 14, 1814 borrowed it - Yes a drinking song - to create The Star-Spangled Banner. He must have known it by hart.  Nevertheless, it is still one of the best national anthem - drunk or not - before the SuperBowl.
