Woman is a pop styled song from "1997"  with a strong and soulful message that I wrote to encourage and empower women to represent the word and it's meaning to the fullest. I literally spelled the word in the song to express that we must represent it's true meaning.

I wrote and recorded this song back in "1997" 
The purpose was to remind the person involved, that I was good before I met him and that I will continue to be good after he left. 
I came with a not so nice statement on a soft and smooth track to give it a taste of "salty and sweet".

This track starts with breaking down simple phrases in different ways. Then it addresses the issues head on... I will deeply express two examples to define the purpose of  this song.... People of the world today seem to be confused with the meaning of honesty, trust and respect for one another on so many levels😞
while on the other hand, some people think that they can take advantage of others and confiscate undeserved credit for things that someone else does and claim it as their own. 
The sad part is that they don't think anything's wrong with their actions.... (smh) please wake up!!!!!
I wrote this song to give credit to  individuality and self identity.
Recognize, know, and be true to yourself!!!! And try to make necessary adjustments to be your best, for the sake of humanity.

This song was my first on the spot studio writing experience. 
I actually wrote this song in less than five minutes, the first time I heard the track, after the producer of the track, asked if I could do something with it. 
I have to give myself credit......
It turned out pretty good to be written and recorded in one day, in the year  "2015"
The song is about a woman expressing to her man that their relationship can survive any and everything.... And that leaving should not be an option.

Can't tell me

This song was literally written for someone who wanted to see if I could write on a different level....
(out of my character/zone so to speak)  
I was challenged and given a title to represent a female that owns her everything and doesn't care how anyone feels about it.
But the crazy twist is that the title is not her name... Each letter stands for a word for example; the "H" stands for hips lol. I believe that I dug deep enough to at least touch the surface of writing a great "original" to represent her in this song.

My name is LaShone, a resident of Mobile Alabama. I started singing in church with my sister at the age of seven. It wasn't long before we started writing and singing songs for the children of the neighborhood, that became big fans. I wasn't interested in singing solo, I mainly liked harmonizing with my big sister because I truly had a passion for dancing at the time. It wasn't until years later when I found a profound passion for standing out in a spotlight alone vocally. But now my focus and goal is to write songs for other artists.
