The Necronomicon (Book of Dead Names) is a fictional tome of knowledge created by H.P. Lovecraft. The author of the Necronomicon in Lovecraft's tales is the "Mad Arab" Abdul Alhazred. The book contains account of many unspeakable horrors, including the Great Old Ones, and how to summon them.

Dyer and Danforth are exploring the ancient city of the Elder Things when they come across the murals that tell the history of the Elder Things rise to domination over the Earth, and their subsequent decline.

I've written this in an early 20th Century classical style for choir and orchestra, which I found suitable for the subject of Earths ancient history.
