Episode 1: Intro to us, Intro to WDW Part 1

Welcome to Episode 3! In this episode we take a trip down memory lane and learn about some of the best WDW parades dating back to the late 1980's.  

Laura takes you way back to the Spirit of America parade, Mickey's 60th Birthday Parade and Disney Character Hit Parade.  Later, she rings in the new millennium with the Dream Parades and gives a touching tribute to EPCOT's Tapestry of Nations parade.  

Alison digs up some wacky memories from the early 90's in the Surprise Celebration and Mickey Mania parades.  The true hero here is her all-time favorite: Remember the Magic parade, which she gushes over throughout the episode.  We also can't forget DHS once had a parade, Disney Stars & Motor Cars!

Andrew's Roundup is back with a fascinating brainstorming session to create the perfect parade float!

Episode 3: Past Parades on Parade!

In this Episode we celebrate Spaceship Earth and explore the story of communications!

Journey back 40,000 years to the dawn of recorded history as Laura introduces us to the construction and early years of SSE.  Alison shares some changes to the ride in its later days and reminds us of some not-so-fond memories of a glaring, behemoth structure once perched atop a legendary structural masterpiece. 

Andrew shares some truly special stories and first hand knowledge as he recounts his days working under the ball.  And check out Andy's Roundup's brand new theme song! But mostly, come for the impressions...

Now...let us go forth and fulfill our destiny on Spaceship Earth.   

Episode 4: Spaceship Earth, in all it's Glory!

We have been dishing out a lot of history and research-based episodes lately so we decided to chill out a little with a fun conversation on Costumes and The Disney Look. 

Laura provides the background and details on what exactly is "The Disney Look" and we all share descriptions of the costumes we wore when we worked as Cast Members. This episode is somewhat unique, and calls for a different kind of introduction. This, as you may recognize, is a maintenance service elevator...NO! It's a podcast! But, still, we invite you, if you dare, to press "PLAY" because this podcast travels directly to...The Twilight Zone. 
 
Laura really outdoes her research skills here on this episode and provides you with all the scientific information you could ever imagine about this truly amazing Walt Disney World attraction. 

Andy's Roundup asks us all to imagine WHAT, if anything, could provide for an acceptable overlay to our precious ToT...spoiler alert: Guardians of the Galaxy is not an acceptable answer...or overlay...ever.  :)

Episode 12: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion. We are your hosts, your ghost hosts. Kindly press play when you are prepared to listen attentively, and make room for everyone.  There's no turning back now.  

Laura tells some great stories about the attraction's inception beginning with Walt himself in Disneyland.  

We discuss the ride as we know and love it in Walt Disney World and make plenty of tributes to the brilliant narration provided by X. Atencio.  

And if you are not frightened prematurely, Laura & Andrew continue with a memorable review of a not-so memorable movie, The Haunted Mansion, starring Eddie Murphy, which receives a Disney Philharpodcast rating of 1.5 Roz's (you might actually be really frightened at this point). Episode 14: The Haunted Mansion

Howdy, y'all! In this episode we are alllllll about Fort Wilderness lyfe.  As campers in our non-Disney lives, and members of an elite 80's Fort Wilderness Secret Society, we have a special place in our hearts for this "off the beaten path" resort.  

Laura and Alison describe their fond memories for camping here as little kids roughin' it with Chip 'n Dale and even a little Andrew hung out here hittin' up the Hoop Dee Do Revue as a youngin'.  

Remember the Melvin the Moose breakfast? Well Alison informs Laura they have never actually been to the HDD Revue and have been LIVING A LIE THIS WHOLE TIME.  

Guess what? We've got TWO Roundups in this Episode, though the management over at Andy's Roundup has sent multiple cease and desist letters.

Episode 16: Fort Wilderness

In this Episode we share history and stories of one of the greatest shows ever presented at Walt Disney World.  The Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights, later The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights holds a special place in our memories and likewise in the memories of probably anyone who ever saw them!

Laura tells the tale of Jennings Osborne from Little Rock, Arkansas who was on a simple quest to spend more time with his family.  Alison reminds everyone of some of the details found around the attraction and Andy's Roundup leaves us to solve the age-old problem: where else could Disney have put this attraction rather than just canceling it altogether?

Episode 21: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Have you noticed, in WDW, you're actually surrounded by robots?? Well, in Disney World, they're affectionately known as "Audio Animatronics", and they have been responsible for entertaining park visitors every day since the opening of Disneyland in 1955.  There are so many AA's in WDW, in fact, it would be easier to list the attractions which do NOT contain one of these talking/singing/dancing/joke-telling little characters.  

So join us as we get down to the wires of these little (and some very big) robots. Laura will discuss the history and inner-workings of AA's and Alison reminds everyone of some of the most memorable AA's around WDW.

Episode 24: Fun with Audio Animatronics

Kids, come journey back in time with us way back before 2011 when the Magic Kingdom was actually the home of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Donald's Boat.  What started as a 60th birthday celebration for our main mouse, Mickey, evolved over time becoming Mickey's Starland, briefly Mickey's ToyLand, and ultimately Mickey's Toontown Fair!

Episode 58: Food, Wine, & Frozen: The Musical

After BEING FORCED to move to Salem, Mass. AGAINST HIS WILL, teenager Max Dennison (total lame-o) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (who is so much cooler than her brother) and their new friend, Allison (rich girl with nice YABBOS). After totally embarrassing himself by mocking a story Allison tells, Max, being the virgin and big dummy that he is, accidentally (on purpose) frees a coven of evil witches who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat (Thack Binx) and their new best friend Billy Bones, the kids must steal the witches' skin-wrapped peeping Tom book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal while their parents have the time of their lives partying all night. AND GARRY MARSHALL.
