Old Freddy sat in the corner as the band started to play
And as others danced and talked of romance Freddy just pined away.
Thirty- one years and still a virgin he sat sipping on a coke 
and wondering whether to do himself in with a bullet or a rope
Hang on Freddy there’s hope just around the corner

Little Roberta was getting tired of fast sweet talking men
Who left her in the park searching for her cloths and a way to get home again
When she saw Freddy sitting in the corner with coke running down his chin
She knew she’d found her someone who would cherish her till the end

Roberta walked up and asked Freddie if he might like to dance
But Freddy was so damn nervous he just sat there in a trance
His knees were shaking and throat  so dry I swore he was going  to choke
And feeling like he had blown it started thinking bout the gun and the rope. 
Robert could see that he was shy so she just sat near him
Humming along with the music and sipping on a coke and gin
Their eyes met and the sparkle from her sent a warmth running up his spine 
In a few more minutes the magic starting working and Freddy began to unwind
Well they talked about this and they talked about that talked about all their dreams and Freddy started thinking that things weren’t as bad as they’d seemed Yah Freddy started thinking the things weren’t as bad as they’d seemed.

   a goodbye pierced into my heart and blew away the very life an breath  of me

somehow things started changing growing from a seed 
and there was strength a power swelling up in me  
And I see it now this thing I took for love was just a grand illusion of something that just never was.

There was some bitterness
As I relived every painful scene and time and time again it all came back to me 
But somehow now I know

But Now I’m making changes and I’m look-in in my head and I’m finding comfort in myself instead

Now from the time that I was born I was sheltered from the storms in atmosphere of love and affection
Simple folk of meager means, our greatest wealth was the family and we took shelter there when the times were hard and bitter
From the valley to the east lies the mountains high and steep and any valley folk could tell you of there treasures.
So from the time of nursery rhymes were all polished pump and primed and set out on the road to retrieve its treasures.
	And the first hard rule and mountain climber learns, is you always look ahead you don’t ever turn
And the dreams that you forsake is the price that you must make along the way
But me I’m so tired Lord knows I’m tired of climbing these mountains
And my body aches with pain in a hundred different way and I just want to go home.
I was schooled with the rest to make me ready for the test cause the valley knew the value of an education.
I was tutored in Arts and Science and in the art of self-reliance and shown how empirical method could solve our problems.
But I’ll be damned if anyone questioned why we moved in this direction it just seemed like the natural way to go.
But lately I’ve had my doubts and more than once thought about turning round and heading back for home.
 But the first hard rule and mountain climber learns is you always look ahead you don’t ever turn
And the dreams that you forsake is the price that you must make along the way
But me I’m so tired Lord knows I’m tired of climbing these mountains
And my body aches with pain in a hundred different way and I just want to go home.
I just want to go home
Other men will surely travel up the sloops of stone and gravel seeking out their fortunes up above.
But me I’ve had my doubts and finally turned about and Lord knows I’m heading back for home.

Wrote this song in Nepal .  I was floating in a row boat and a the fortune to see a eagle catcha very large fish.   I planned to add another verse later.  have terminal cancer which has made me unable to play.
