Crews Battle the Thomas Fire on Mountain Drive

Democrat Gregg Hart announced on February 8 he would run for 2nd District Supervisor. The district, made up of about 50,000 voters, spans the Goleta Valley and parts of the City of Santa Barbara. The two-time Santa Barbara City Council member will go up against Democrat Susan Epstein, a nonprofit consultant and Goleta school board member. The election is on June 5.

Hart sat down with the 'Santa Barbara Independent' to share a little about his background and explain why he decided to jump in the race.

Gregg Hart Launches Campaign to Become County Supervisor

About three months after she launched her campaign to run for county supervisor, Susan Epstein announced she has raised about $120,000. The longtime Goleta school board member faces Santa Barbara City Councilmember Gregg Hart in the race to represent the 2nd District, spanning Hope Ranch, the Goleta Valley and parts of the City of Santa Barbara.

The Santa Barbara Independent sat down with Epstein to find out more about her views.
