Unruly is a Deltarune AU inspired by and building on the original premise behind "Placed Bets" that explores the consequences of removing a given Dark World's ruler, boss, leader, etc..

In Chapter 1, Lancer introduces himself as "the bad guy". By the end of the chapter, we learn that his father, King, is the real threat.

But what if his father's card was missing from the deck? And what if Lancer was being fully honest, and he was the real threat all along? And what if that responsibility fell upon him, because nobody else would or could handle it?

The idea behind Placed Bets originally came a little while after having played Deltarune Chapter 1, wondering what a hypothetical fight against Lancer would be like if, as Lancer stated in (I think) his introduction, he truly was "the bad guy", much like the title his father would proudly wield.

It's been closer to 5 years at this point since I made the original Placed Bets, and one year fewer since I'd made v2. Suffice to say, it's been a while since I've revisited it, it's certainly been long enough to justify it. I've been in a particular remaster-y mood lately, so expect some "classics" (in other words, weird remaster choices) in the future!!

THIS ONE'S ACTUALLY COMPLETELY NEW FOR ONCE HOLY SHIT

I have in fact fallen into the trap of making BIG SHOTs for anything and everything I can think of, obviously including other Deltarune characters themselves! This one was mainly inspired by the Queen BIG SHOTs that were already around, to try and make something stylistically distinct from the lot of them. Whether I succeeded I can't necessarily say! But I can at least say that I like how this one turned out.

Additionally I'm just proud of myself for NOT falling into the trope of forcing voice lines in that probably wouldn't fit the vibes of the song.

Rouxls Kaard's theme is used here because I guess for some reason I decided the Jevil replacement shouldn't be King, but rather Rouxls. Probably because I'm heavily biased towards Rouxls. He Rouxls, okay?

A long while ago I made a collection of songs for our favourite WLW icons Susie and Noelle in the roles of our favourite MLM icons Jevil and Spamton [citation NOT needed FUCK you]. After a long long long time of not having thumbnails, Austhetic (my beloved 💛) pulled through for me and made a whole bunch of AWESOME thumbnails for the awesome tracks that these accompany.

Tough Sh!t is the tenth track of this weird little "album" thing. While I wasn't super hung up on trying to make some sort of lore for the AU while I was making most of the music for this, some ideas did make it into the thumbnail (since, y'know, thumbnails are really cool, and cool lore is also very cool).

In previous descriptions I've stated not to have thought of anything specific in regards to Susie's backstory in this AU. This is technically still true, but I figured I'd try to think of something anyway.

With Lancer under threat, Rouxls and Kris spring into action to help save him, prompting Susie to react even more aggressively to the fact that he tracked her down. Not only did he betray her trust by letting his friends follow him, but she also believes this was all a trap to overpower her.

But she's not about to let that happen. She's all geared up, she's got her axe in hand, and she's ready to THRASH some ass.

The current "roles" the AU has, as far as I care to divulge, is:
Lancer → Kris
Rouxls → Susie
Kris → Ralsei
Noelle → Jevil
Susie → Spamton

This song is based on two previous music poll winners, "Crazy Little Thing Called LOVE" and "Cruise Controusle".

The general aesthetic for the thumbnail and the Cyber World replacement in general was inspired by what we did for the Cruise Controusle thumbnail where it takes place on this weird version of the Surface. I'm not entirely sure how all of this would work, but this is Flowey's world, and he created it in the Surface's image.
