'S.O.S.' is New Genesis' debut single. Combining Spanish and English in its original lyrics, it is an anthem for Puerto Rico discussing what is the Puerto Rican experience post-Hurricane Maria, as well as the island's colonial history with America. New Genesis takes an innovative approach to political hip-hop with its use of soulful vocals and smooth harmonies by NG member monstAr and feature artist Kanchi Nayaka, while T adds melodic back vocals to the chorus. Listeners can expect a powerful, poetic performance all in all by both T and monstAr, the sibling duo comprising New Genesis.
