The song is a story of everything he went through during the period 2021-2022, where he faced a lot of challenges that led to his mental health deteriorating and was eventually diagnosed with depression and anxiety. The song was inspired by Areece's Rich, which was featured on Gwan Big-Up Urself 2. The beat sample is from Cymatics.fm and the whole song was mixed and mastered by Thabvng. 
With the release of "My Life (Freestyle)", Sum'a seems to be looking to gain more momentum and keep serving good music. The Virginia (Free State) rapper is hoping to reach more people with his music and continue representing his hometown, province and his country.
