Not Gonna Break Shabbat (aka No ham ilton)

I wrote this song to be the theme song of for the 5th grade at Sinai Temple Religious School. The curriculum revolves around "Holiness" and each lesson is built out from a line in Leviticus 19, aka The Holiness Code. 
The song is meant to capture the fact that holiness is inherent within us and that we can grow holiness through our choices and actions.

Jacob is a talented educator and song writer with over twenty years of experience in various forms of education.  He is currently the Director of Musical Engagement at Sinai Temple in Los Angeles where he teaches and leads services and meaningful educational programs for the students of Sinai Akiba and the religious school, as well as the congregants.  In addition to playing the canon of traditional Jewish music, Jacob writes original melodies for familiar (and not so familiar) prayers and texts.  He also enjoys writing songs that incorporate movement and focus on an educational outcome.
