Time Wharp’s ‘Cole Dub’ single is taken off his forthcoming eponymous debut album, set for release via Astro Nautico in 12’’ vinyl and digital formats in May. 

‘Cole Dub’ inherits the glorious soulful clarity and dancefloor efficiency of New York house. Bold chopped and resampled live drum patterns, warm organ stabs, and mantric vocal hooks provide the single’s rhythmic sediment, with saxophones and walled up synth bliss washing in and out of the stereo field for dynamic effect. Also included are album outtake ‘Tunnel,’ a drums-only ‘Cole Dub’ rhythm track and a remix by Step+Repeat, the debut of a collaboration between Atlanta producer Stefan Ringer (aka REKchampa) & keyboardist Chris Irvin.

Sale gosse des 90's, Mr Lobster grandit pendant l'essor de la French Touch, genre électro qui s'enracine profondément dans son paysage musical. De Birdy Nam Nam à Mr Oizo ou encore de Daft Punk à Justice, on peut ressentir le poids écrasant de ses références dans sa musique. Plus tard, il commence la composition et se découvre une vraie et profonde passion. Il débute dans la core (acidcore, tribecore, etc.) avec les mythiques Korg EMX et ESX dans les années 2010, ce qui l'amènera à jouer dans plusieurs freeparty.
Après plusieurs expérimentations, Lobster finit par retomber dans ses premières influences. A l'heure actuelle, il se dévoue totalement à l'électro, la techno et la bassmusic. C'est dans cette diversité qu'il a finalement trouvé sa voie. Depuis 2020, il se produit régulièrement dans des bars, des salles de concert, des clubs ainsi que dans les scènes les plus underground. Membre et créateur du collectif T4 Mob, il s'investit également dans l'organisation d'évènements, montrant ainsi son engagement profond envers la culture électronique.
