Curled in a ball under donated blankets with…  
Sainsbury’s written on two cardboard mattresses 
Someone just came along and snapchatted you 
With Sandwiches, that they bought. You said thanks 
But that was “Frikkin” Embarrassing

They look down and walk past, go home and forget shit
Like you never existed! 
Didn’t care that you was in care as a kid 
Never knew that your Dad went down for a Six, when you were Six
And it turned your Mum into an alcoholic. 
Or that she attempted suicide and nearly died from taking tablets
Or that she moved her Boyfriend in who’d rather kick you than
Kick a Crack Habit! Now that's damage...
You knew more about class A’s then getting A’s in class 
Lost your Childhood ‘Cos you was raised too fast! 
When people look at you saying “don’t blame the past” 
You look up, shake your head and say 
YOU DON’T KNOW THE HALF

Mr Milise - Roofless

Mr Milise (Pronounced Mill-E-Zayy) has been plying his trade as a lyricist for more than 15 Years and credits Gil Scott Heron (The Revolution Will Not Be Televised) for his early exposure to the world of Spoken Word. As a Youngster Milise would experiment with Poetry and the art of Storytelling on a beat, as well as creating thought provoking Acapellas. His work and Performances have been positively received and some of his pieces have been used by Police Forces, Schools, Prison Reform Services and Councils as part of Youth Awareness initiatives across the UK. His intention is to adopt a role as a Voice for the Voiceless and hopes to grow a platform/network on the Poetry Circuit to help communicate a message from those who have faced challenging circumstances and adversity. Milise also works as a Mentor/Tutor teaching Creative Writing to disaffected youngsters across the Country
