Elements found here may well have formed before the Sun was born.”

Oort Cloud is the sixth track in the Space album, which depicts a journey from earth, through our solar system, its elements, out of our galaxy and on to the next, with a few dramatic events and encounters along the way. The soundscape features various driving kicks and beats to mimic hurtling through space at speed, combined with cold, hard, dark, metallic percussion and synths that conjure up the harshness of the environment, and re-imagine tales of sci-fi lore.

Luum Records proudly unveils “Recognise EP”, a bold and evocative new release from Australian producer Astrek, alongside a couple of remixes by label bosses Doriaan and Üshmüel.

With two original tracks, Astrek delivers a deep and refined sonic statement, exploring the emotional edges of progressive house with cinematic flair and hypnotic drive. The title track, “Recognise”, is a slow-burning journey—subtle yet commanding—built around layered atmospheres, crisp percussion, and a melodic tension that lingers long after the final beat. “Alliance” follows with a darker, more percussive energy, weaving intricate rhythms with brooding textures that pull the listener deeper into Astrek’s immersive soundscape.

On remix duties, label bosses Doriaan and Üshmüel each bring a distinct interpretation. Doriaan's remix of “Recognise” leans into emotive depth and melodic storytelling, offering a dreamlike, introspective rendition perfect for sunrise moments or late-night reflection. Üshmüel, on the other hand, transforms “Alliance” into a hypnotic club weapon—stripped down, rhythm-driven, and primed for peak-time dance floors.
