Uplifting, cinematic synthwave with a driving synth lead inspired by the Voltron Netflix episode when they rallied all the aliens defeated by the Galra Empire to free their planets. Despite being massive underdogs, this “Coalition” found hope along the way. Classic drum machine rock beats, a punchy low end, and uplifting arps round out the track. Fits in playlists for anime fans, gamers, road trips, and workouts. Rocked out at NEON Retro Fest last spring and Betamax Video Club residency in DC.

Coalition

This track was inspired by Voltron the animated series and the largest of the Paladins, Hunk, who is the most loyal friend and protector who keeps the team grounded. As the pilot of the Yellow Lion with an elemental alignment to earth, the propulsive bassline and drums are driven by Hunk to allow the other synths and melodies to soar. For Velocity 128, we are looking to play more shows in 2025 and growing the synthwave community in the Pacific Northwest while continuing to release new music.

Take care of our oceans! The sea is the source of all life. "I Am The Ocean". We are all the ocean!

I dedicate this music to saving the world's oceans. The ocean covers more than 70% of the earth's surface. It is home to millions of fascinating animal and plant species - many of which are still undiscovered. 

But the marine ecosystem is becoming unbalanced because humans are leaving serious traces in it. Plastic waste and noise pollute the underwater world, many fish stocks are overfished to the limit and numerous marine mammals are still being killed today.

The raw materials industry is planning the complete exploitation of the world's oceans. Just as it has already done everywhere on land. It is ready to mine in water depths of many thousands of meters. All the valuable raw materials from the barely explored sea beds of the deep sea are to be completely exploited without a moment's thought about the possible consequences of this overexploitation for the entire ecosystem of our planet. You have to imagine mining machines that look like giant vacuum cleaners or huge plows plowing up large unexplored areas, crushing manganese nodules, cobalt crusts or massive sulfides and destroying all the life that lives there.

"I Am The Ocean" is an instrumental composition, belongs to the deep house music genre and consists of three parts. The first part is intended to express the vastness and beauty of the oceans on the surface. The second part is intended to musically express the depth and the unexplored parts of the oceans, with sub basses and largely without drums. The third part at the end is intended to musically express the wildness of our oceans and the dynamics of big waves. Luk Walther (ttmc.ch) at Audiolager Bern is responsible for the mix and mastering.
