melody and lyrics have a real 60s folk feel to them for me...excellent points baeing made as usual..media has become itself a sellf serving business focused on profit. ie identify a demographic..push their buttons so they hear what they want to hear and its easier to sell advertising..when did facts become opinions??

"I like this song." Even though I heard in the comments that the "phase" was happening, I didn't think it was a bad sound during the creation. I like the "phase shift" in Mr. Superstein's comment.
The song was inspired by a photograph of a man sleeping in the crowd in front of the station and his companion's dog. The melody of the trumpet is the slumber of two people. The surrounding miscellaneous sounds express the hustle and bustle of the city.
"What a fun composition experience." I was able to experience the fun of "Phase Shift" even though I had never heard a single piece about Reich. I couldn't be happier.
