George Martin played the solo on In My Life on a piano and speeded it up to sound like a harpsichord. 
He said it was because he couldn't play fast enough.
Based on the tape technology that was available at the time, I'm assuming the track was slowed to half speed, which means that the actual solo would have sounded like this.

Silent Moon

Monday 4th January 2021 #jamuary

This is an idea I’ve been working on for ages.  It still doesn’t work.  I’m unsure what to do with it.  I’ve tried it on its own.  I’ve tried it with other elements added in.  I’ve done it in a longer form, manually changing parameters by hand using midi controllers. So, in an attempt to do something with it I gave it another go last nightin a much shorter form.  Still not happy with it but it’s out there now and perhaps I can stop thinking about it.
Two random sequences played in the same key.
Both start as one note long and at slightly different rates they both increase to 16 notes long before decreasing back to one note again.  
There’s a bit of movement in changing the LPG frequency on both.
I’ve used MidiMixer to automate the changes in sequence length, the LPG frequency of the synths and the fades.

I randomly selected the contribution "Comma-Cosmic Duet", from @JochenEdmund and @comma which features the coffee machine at the data center.  With some synths to pull this together, I arrived at Cosmic Java.  I can't guarantee that you will like it but I can promise this piece is better than the coffee at the data center without ever having tasted it!
