The mission of the Education Connection Committee is to develop workforce talent, advocate for innovative educational initiatives and inspire meaningful academic and business partnerships.

Education Connection Committee Chair Jennifer Lawson and Vice Chair Jeff Chernoff are asking for volunteers from diverse industries to join the committee.  The goal is for the committee and programming to be reflective of the Tampa community.

During Civilian Career Day, Major Michael Chavarria, United States Air Force spent the day at Tampa International Airport shadowing Brian Washburn, Senior Manager, Airfield Operation, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority and Scott Loper, Airport Operations Safety and Compliance Manager, Hillsborough County Aviation Authority. This was the second of three events in 2018 that are part of the Chamber's Operation Partnership program presented by USAA, which is for service members who are transitioning to civilian careers.
