The years fly by as our days draw nigh,
This life is a good place to be,
As the Son of Man lives on high,
All is well with the world.

The sun drifts high in the blue summer sky,
And the blue bird sings like a lark,
The blue bird ages but its song never does
As the One within guides the way 

Hope reigns supreme as the hours pass by,
And Faith in the One is redeemed.
Trust is the key, in the One, high above
And youth is with us always.

"About the Australian desert."

The breeze it blows through heavens’ vents,
And passes by moonlit tents.
The desert’s flowers subdued and quiet,
Are waiting for the colour riot,
Of mornings bright and rising light,
It shines across the vastness now.
And flowing dunes which rise as one,
To the warmings of the sun.
It seems so quiet, but life abounds,
In every nook and hole surrounds.
Creatures of all types appear,
And some caress the air with flight.
They rise and fall in solitary power,
But little do they know the hour.
Time passes in an instant slow,
Quickens then, and slows again.
The day is past, the cycle circles,
In an endless pattern certain.
The wind it blows through heaven’s vents,
And passes by moonlit tents.

"The narrow path in this life leads to the wider path in the next."

The narrow path it lies before,
Through briers and rocks and even more.
The sea on either side,
The water always at high tide,
The pounding waves and surging seas,
Prove hard to pass and cause unease.

The broader path now winds its way,
Through smiling plants and bended palms.

"A warning about fear."

The snare catches you unaware,
As you move through life.
You think you do not have a care,
But bang, it hits you twice.
The fear itself can trouble,
The fear of the fear is the double.
So be aware, take some care,
Fear is a snare.

"The only prayer an individual needs to do."

Breathe in.
Relax and breathe out slowly.
Gently focus inwardly on the heart region,
Thinking not necessary.

The simple prayer/meditation

"A poem based on the 1950's movie of the same name."

A fighting man who did speak prose,
He was born with a legendary nose.
To take him on required much skill,
The better option, stay quite still.
Better not to spark his temper,
There is something to remember.
If life was valued above all else,
Best stay cool and bide in self.
He was not dull his life was real,
He lived and died with much zeal.
He fought his demons to the end,
He would attack and not defend.
The moral of this story flows,
Live life full and so it goes.
Death is but a short time coming.
It comes to all and amounts to nothing.

"A poem about individuals who incarnate from the stars to the earth."

They come afar from the stars,
Born into this world of woe.
Little do they understand,
This world imperfect as we know.
They won’t accept the way things are,
At night they stop and stare above.
They don’t conform, won’t even try,
Looking upwards to the sky.
Others who are not from there,
Don’t have the troubles and the cares.
 But graft and cheat and make their way,
Through this life, the star child pays.
But the future is the same,
For the star child and their bane.
Both must try to make things right,
In this life resisting night.

About John's gospel

"Sun dwellers."

This group of beings lives at peace in another dimension,
They plead the case of wisdom and total comprehension.
Rigid and unyielding they do seem rather mean,
But they are clothed in light, a pleasure to be seen.
An honesty pervades their souls they’re never known to smile,
It seems a type of arrogance but that would be a lie.
Those that are from the sun, question, above all else,
Scientific thinking is their idea of wealth.
The guidance of the conscience is for them an alien concept,
 A child of God they may not be for the reason of this precept.

"About Fremantle, Australia"

The seawalls reach towards the west,
The port has slowed and is at rest.
Its eventide the tide is low,
The gulls have left till morning shows.
A fisher casts his line sublime,
And casts a solitary shadow,
And now and then he moves along,
On the jetty narrow.
In the harbour oil has spilled,
From working boats now quiet.
There could be better places,
To extract a healthy diet.
Ciccerello’s or Joes ‘Shack’,
Are better options for a meal,
Of fish and chips right royal,
For the fisher’s nightly toil.
And the seawalls reach towards the west,
Fremantle slows and is at rest.
