ATFC is a House music titan. He has worked with a plethora of superstars ranging from Missy Elliot to Faithless with countless top UK singles under his belt and he’s back once again on Toolroom with ‘Tech House Kinda Thing’- His first solo single on the label fresh from his collaboration with studio buddy Gene Farris.
 
Whilst sampling can be a sticky subject in dance music, ‘Tech House Kinda Thing’ is a fine example of how digging deep and being creative can be hugely rewarding. The vocal sample on this record is from another house titan; Harry Romero. This was taken from an event promo video that Harry recorded himself and posted on his Instagram page. Being the creative soul he is, ATFC heard it, sampled it, brought the idea to a Toolroom writing camp last November, and voila, this record was born! 

The record itself is an energetic club workout, produced with the detaill and finesse you’d expect from such a legendary producer such as ATFC. With driving rhythms, off beat quirky stabs and that unique, spoken vocal, this really is a special record!

Dutch producer, Rene Amesz makes quite the comeback with his brand-new outing on Toolroom Trax! 

He’s no stranger to the sound of Toolroom as he’s been a firm label favourite for many years who is best known for his unique blend of chunky and quirky tracks such as ‘Aydin’, ‘Mind, Body & Soul’ and ‘Clan Nancy’. ‘Vispas’ marks his debut on Toolroom Trax and it’s a biggie!

Kicking off the EP with title track, 'Vispas ’ it’s an energetic cut that screams Rene Amesz! Those signature drums, quirky vocal stabs and that sublime break down, this is trademark stuff from the tech house legend. ‘Mix Mono’ delves slightly deeper on the flip and relies on some trippy synth work to drive proceedings making for a perfect 2 track EP - Great stuff from Rene!
