The back story about a song written by a 17 year old young man who was not afraid to travel, hitch-hiking though the Northwestern states, before he wrote this song in the late 70's. After seeing the big skies of Montana and meeting some cool people that gave him rides. When he returned his view of high school was different and it inspired him to find a friend or girlfriend after his parents had just moved to the Valley and he wanted to try something different with his life like write a song which led him to Joe DiBlasi ("Is Anybody Out There")who heard it an offered him free lessons in classical guitar.  At his new residence, Joe came to his house like Religion every week to teach him guitar while he had just finished a harmony class that had been recommended by Duncan Cameron(Hehaw TV show, Amazing Rhythm Aces, and Sawyer Brown) taught by a woman, Jean Chainberlain who was very helpful in teaching him harmony at Granada Hills High School (Valeri Bertonli was there at same time who became wife to Eddie Van Halen)). Inspired in a different way, at this new high school and with a song that gave him some rules only to break such as chord progressions(inverted 7th chord...)which helped did help him in making some new friends there. Although, he did not find a girlfriend because it did not work out with a Jewish girl that was fond of him because her parents were not(Like the song Donna in which Richie Valens was not liked by her parents)  He then put his song on the shelf for a while after his father's unexpected death to pancreatic cancer at age 47(Father had the Clinton Russia and Trump Russian attacks and accusation going on too and was trying to start an aerospace company and his lawyer became a California Superior Court judge https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1992-09-30-me-130-story.html), In later years he was unaware for a while and trying to record his song during the 2015 SoCalGas leak(the  epicenter was about only one mile from his house)the leak was so bad it caused some dissonant effects on his vocal cords and voice and hence you have the Willy Nelson effect mentioned by more than a few on LinkedIn where he referred his network invites one by one to Pico Song  He thought maybe before he uploaded it that a sound mix might help it out and had it mixed but after a guitar teacher heard it, with out the mix and then with it said not to release it with the mix. He went ahead and released it anyway(breaking the rules again) not knowing how long he had to live because of the exposure to the gases from the leak such as benzene, radon, and Methane. He sure must have wondered after how many attempts it took to record later, and the loss of one his new friends (David Leveque Porter Ranch) if it sounded even worthy enough for the internet.  Even though breaking all the rules again, was an excuse now he uploaded it to Pico Song, which eventually it stopped working for his song so he was referred by a woman at Star Bucks that he had played it for from his laptop to try SoundCloud. Now over 700 listens later, he is very glad he met her. Thank you SoundCould and do not stop like Pico!
