My Remix of the brilliant, pretty chilled out rap song known from the soundtrack of the movie Kidulthood. I liked the song and got back to it every once in a while and I came back to it recently and decided to remix it and see what I could do. Couldn't find an acapella so I had to use the original track and make a bootleg. The arrangement is all the same, I sped it up a tiny bit to 140 BPM.

EDIT: I really would like to know how this track blew up so much compared to my other stuff!

As Digital Terror Recordings continues their mission to provide the most outlandish cuts of Drum and Bass in 2018, the next selection of releases are sure to change the game. Bringing together their renowned and upcoming talents year after year, DTR continues to push boundaries others are scared to touch. The label has been hard at work carefully selecting it’s ammunition for the Winter by shaking things up with a selection from Hoogs. Both made in America, Hoogs is a cornerstone of the imprint dating back to its very first release with legendary tracks like ‘Acts of Terror’, ‘Puffin Clouds’, ‘Jungle Bad’ and more—all receiving top tier remix treatment from the cream of the crop. Hoogs returns to Digital Terror with the Monster EP.

Living up to its name, Monster plays like a full on beatdown from start to finish: with the title track coming straight for the throat, mixing a full range of warm space basses on top of a punky drum kit and sci-fi film cuts. ‘Look Away’ combs through the darkness with an eerie vocal sample and expertly cut piano and guitar stabs, before the steppy bassline shatters the suspense into pieces. Flexing more of his addictive drum kits, Hoogs puts the rollers trend on its head on ‘Jungle Demo’—a perfect homage to that heavily desired sound. ‘Ouija’ completes the spell beckoning the listener with otherworldly strings, blaring synth stabs and clever beat work wrapping up the Monster EP with Hoogs on top of the heap.
