Calmaria is the first act of Acta Recordings, previously named AVNT Recordings. The label went through a rebranding and reconfiguration to better represent a new generation of emerging artists, specially from Brazil and Latin America.

Acta Recordings aims to be a sheltering space for divergent and limitless creative artists, gender-bending through Pop and Obscure music. We're designing a new and exciting home, from scratch and within the possibilities of our resource availability in a socio-political complicated country - collectively world-building and terraforming in inhospitable places.

After 4 years of expanding our community we have reached our 100th Valley Radio episode, a core aspect of the Valley undertaking so far. We are truly in awe of the sheer volume of amazing people that have participated in creating what Valley is today. A big thank you to all artists that have performed or contributed online and of course a thank you to all the lovely people who listen to our output and come support us live. We are truly here for and by you. 

With this 100th episode we present a ‘Valley’s picks’ mix, concluding our series that started out as live sessions at Red Light Radio, adapted to an online send-in with a weekly release and transformed to a bi-weekly series that has introduced so many people to wonderful artists. Berlin based Cuban-American artist, Lamb, best known for its visceral vocal performances, employs elements of Bass, Noise Pop and Grime through a playful arrangement of sample based pattern making. Drawing inspiration from horror films, Lamb employs its lyrics as an exploration of amoral landscapes with topics ranging from violence to teddy bears.
