This was the very first song I worked on during the first covid lockdown, even before I knew anything about songwriting or production. I wrote this as a poem then had some coaching on how to turn it into a song and was lucky to find a great singer/musician to bring it to life.

I wanted to write a breakup song, something along the lines of Damien Rice, and was lucky to find a great producer who was also a singer-songwriter to give me some guidance and help produce this beautiful song. Music and vocals by Thaddeus Kent.

Never envisioned writing a country song, but this kept feeling like one as I was writing it, so I figured what the hell. And I'm happy I followed my gut! I doubt I will write another one, at least not for myself, but I would write one for someone else.

Wanted to see if I could write and produce a song that was somewhere between traditional rock and alternative rock. I'm happy with the result!
