Some days you just can't control your adhd and have to make an entire remix in 2 days instead of working on more important things.

Since I made the original remix back when I didn't take things as seriously, and the fact that I've significantly grown as a producer since then, I decided to remake it to do the song justice. This time around I primarily used TAL U-NO-62 for its warmer analog tone as opposed to Serum's colder, digital sound. In addition to that I also used the same amen used in the original song which sounds much cleaner and punchier than what I used in the old remix.

Renard Vs Kitsune² - The Castle (Ataraxia's "VIP Bootleg")

Alright story time. Gamma Burst was the first track of the main portion of the album to be made, originally under the working title Ice X, and repurposed as a final project for one of my classes last school year as Ice V (albeit toned down a bit, the hardcore section was removed because I doubted that would sit well with my teacher). 
Following that was Gravity Lens. Unfortunately I don't have any cool trivia for that track. 
After that was The Weave, which was made just a single day after Gravity Lens after I was inspired by a chord loop I found on Sample Focus, which serves as the foundation for the whole track. I also mashed up and created a new breakbeat solely for this track which you can find on Sample Focus. 
After that, I'll Always Love You. Don't Forget That. was made under the working titles of June, and then Fragility. The main inspirations for the track are Sewerslvt and Porter Robinson, the latter was mostly subconscious though. 
Monospace came after that, and it was inspired by an Artcore tutorial by Shiryuu. I won't go into detail here, but there's a little bit more info on the preview track for it here:    • Ataraxia - Monospace (From: Stability...   
Following that was The Bleeding Edge. Around this time was when I was starting to organize each track into a listening order, and Bleeding Edge was explicitly made to be an introductory track. It was loosely inspired by the intro of Kobaryo feat. Shinonome Interface - Sequence Breaker, and one of the sections borrows an idea from Kobayo - Tool Assisted Speedcore (TQBF Frame Advance Remix) which I'll let you figure out for yourself. 
Finally came Cryostasis, sort of unconsciously made as a transition between Monospace and I'll Always Love You. The pad in the intro uses an old school technique from the early days of jungle where you sample a note/chord and play that instead of the original sound, creating lots of cool

Onto the bonus tracks now. Manufactured Emotion predates all of this by a lot, originally created in February 2022 under an older alias of mine named Macro, but was never released. It was made almost entirely from Flex presets since my sound design at the time was lacking. It's one of the few older tracks that I'm still relatively proud of so I decided to master it and give it the honor of being a bonus track. 
Where Did was similar, made in August of the same year. This was very shortly after I rebranded to Ataraxia. I was initially inspired to make this after listening to Meta Room for the first time but it doesn't draw much actual inspiration beyond the general vibe.
Kitsune² - Take Off and Land (Ataraxia Remix) is a bit of a weird case. I had initially started the remix before the album but it never got very far and I dropped it in favor of other projects. I still liked how it sounded though, so I remade it from scratch and made it a bonus track, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
The most recent track out of the whole album is YOUR RECORDS F$@#ING SUCK. I watched a rave stab tutorial by MSX and my inspiration switch was immediately flipped, and I made the entire track in a single day. I already wanted to make a track centered around that vocal sample when I found it, and this gave me the motivation to do so. I don't think its really possible to label it under a specific subgenre, its sort of a frankenstein's monster of popular sounds at the time, such as a reese, a hoover, an acid lead, the Think break, and of course, the big old stinky rave stab.

The Lorenz system is a system of ordinary differential equations first studied by mathematician and meteorologist Edward Lorenz. In popular media the "butterfly effect" stems from the real-world implications of the Lorenz attractor, namely that several different initial chaotic conditions evolve in phase space in a way that never repeats, so all chaos is unpredictable. This underscores that chaotic systems can be completely deterministic and yet still be inherently unpredictable over long periods of time. Because chaos continually increases in systems, we cannot predict the future of systems well. E.g., even the small flap of a butterfly’s wings could set the world on a vastly different trajectory, such as by causing a hurricane. The shape of the Lorenz attractor itself, when plotted in phase space, may also be seen to resemble a butterfly.
