Recording of my set at Boda de Muertos 2023 in Atlixo Puebla, Mexico. What a blast was starting things that night! Thank you Amores Experience for the invitation, one for the books for sure. Before we put out our first official release on Acidtourism, the "Acid Tourist" insists we take you on a little detour and visit some re-imaginations that we have been working on these past years. We will start this side-expedition of the musical kind and travel back to my homeland, Iceland, with an artist that has been an inspiration through the years, Björk,  and an homage to her song "Always Full of Love.” 

Toward the end of the pandemic, I had the pleasure of working in the studio with my Brother, @RohanAlyan, at his Modern Art Theory gallery in Miami.

Together, we captured its essence and redressed it into a serious peak-time banger.

The 2024 festival season was filled from start to finish with good times, incredible music and amazing humans across all the wonderful events we played. This season we were asked by Earth Beat Festival to run a stage takeover right at the end of the season, what a way to cap it all off!

We put together a lineup the we are incredibly proud of; it was diverse, fun, filled with talented musicians and didn't cater to just one type of four to the floor. We asked our artists to record if they felt comfortable, we are very grateful that most of them did. We are also very grateful they are all allowing us to release their work.

Next up on the stage is the incredible Ranz, who caught our ear a few years ago with her seductive, low slung house. With Middle Eastern influences and elements of dub techno thrown in, Ranz weaves a soul-driven soundscape that has made some of the biggest names in NZ take notice. It was an absolute no-brainer for us to have her on our stage, so we were elated when she said yes.

In her words:

"I had the absolute pleasure of playing alongside some super special humans at a super special event. My set reflects both fun and style. I had a collection of a few faves put together, trialing multi-genre sounds which reflect the diversity of good music that can be put together. I had so much fun experimenting and playing music from some of my favourite artists, thank you COMMUNICATE for allowing me to do so xx."

Born in Chihuahua MX, Babü discovered her passion for music during childhood, in which her father introduced her to genres such as jazz, opera, classical music and rock and roll.
Her interest in electronic music and festivals arose in 2011, when she began to become familiar with the different subgenres and got involved in the production of parties and festivals, being exposed to a wide variety of music, styles and talents.
In 2020 she got her first set of decks and started experimenting.
Her taste varies in genres and representatives of them, such as:  Audiofly, Bedouin, Butch, Empire of the Sun, LCD Soundsystem, Queen, Satori, Superpitcher, Xinobi, Zoé, Zombies in Miami. Her sets are mainly composed of House music.
Including subgenres such as Afro, Deep, Disco, Funky, Italo, Melodic and Progressive.

Since then, sharing her music journeys at venues around the earth, such as:
Fünk MX, Crania SJD, Spoon TLV, Gardens of Babylon parties, Georges UK...
