We are Jack's Room, a band based in High Peak, Derbyshire.  Lockdown Friday is our first tune - a song to reflect our and hopefully many other people’s feelings and actions during this difficult but necessary social lockdown, and just how difficult and strange it’s been for all us.

Hopefully it also shows that lockdown is not all dark. Good and creative things have come out of this for us and although the recording is pretty raw (pls remember it’s not been done in a studio and has all been done via iPhone recordings whilst socially isolated) we are really proud of it.

Lockdown Friday (demo 2)

We are The 10K, a band based in High Peak, Derbyshire - so called because founding members Nic and Jon refined our songs and exchanged mad musical ideas during our weekly runs together throughout the lockdown period!

We met a couple of years ago - Jon has played guitar and sung for many years, Nic had recently taken up the drums, but neither had found a way of properly expressing ourselves musically.  Our first jam together was a seminal moment, we hit it off immediately, initially doing covers and then during the past year of lockdown writing our own material.  We’ve now got a library of our own songs - all written, refined and recorded during lockdown using iPhones and amateur kit.

More recently, we’ve been joined by guitarist Nick.  We can’t wait to get out and about again after lockdown to showcase our music.
