The New Zealand Born, Peckham based brothers have released with the likes of ClekClekBoom and Hot Haus and now step up for RS008 with four melancholic cuts that pays homage to deep house and laid-back jazz in their truest forms. Hypnotic and hazy, Midnight In Peckham goes on a late night tip, with a subtle poetry to the track that gives it an unequivocally timeless vibe. For their second release,label "Let’s Go Swimming" signed Doppelate. Hailing from south London, he brings us a stripped back, four track house record which strikes a beautiful balance between gentle melancholia and blissed-out dance ﬂoor moments !  "Soaked In Honey" here  opens the EP with a sampled conversation between two friends (quoted above). Subterranean keys and a prominent bassline drive this poignant, and yet carefree, sunset club track. Release date : 9th September !

We've been tight with Peckham collective and record label Rhythm Section for a long time now, and catching wind of a new release is always a very big deal. Aukland-born and Peckham-based duo Chaos in the CBD have been on our radar for a minute. You'll probably know these two as the hands behind their seminal debut Midnight in Peckham, released last year. Their new release, Invisible Spectrum, doesn't disappoint. Our favourite of the tracks, "Significant Others" brings the EP to its peak with heavy jazz influences, a bongo beat and serious dance capabilities. Get ready to be wrapped up in the kind of groove that makes you forget all the bad stuff.

The Invisible Spectrum is released on 9th September.

Chaos In The CBD's Ben & Louis Helliker-Hales team up with long-time friend and collaborator Jon Sable to present their new imprint ‘In Dust We Trust.’

In Dust We Trust is an ode to a collection of friends who share a certain understanding, who live by a love and respect for the people around them. That friend who saves that last puff for you, that friend who will share their drink with you when you can't afford your own, that friend who will learn how to drive a car on the spot because you're too drunk to make it home.

Kicking things off with a release from Chaos In The CBD, ‘Accidental Meetings’ is a record that celebrates this way of living. The four cuts effortlessly move you through a journey of delicate textures and atmospheres. It begins with the late night basement sounds of the title track, then sends you through the spacious and meditative ‘North Pole Cafe.’ The wild rhythms of ‘United Identities’ hypnotise you, until you find yourself spat out by the energetic grooves of ‘Distorted Fields.’

Play it in the club, play it in the hotbox, or play it for your mum, this record is filled with soulful, rhythmically complex, melancholic music that is unmistakably dusty.

Our premiere today comes to you from an absolute legend and storied producer in the house world, @dj-aakmael. Aakmael has been releasing heater and heater for well over the last decade for respected dance labels like Unified Records, Kolours, Church UK, as well as his own imprint Unxpozd Entertainment. Preserving that deep underground sound alongside as he describes, "more raw, new nostalgia with that lite-jazz glaze," Aakmael's newest outing, Tales from the Deep Side, arrives on @axeonwax-records, and what a fitting home it is. This EP is about as earnest as it gets, mixing just the right samples and chords with the relentless shuffle that Aakmael has made his own since 2004.

A1 is titled appropriately enough, Deep Side. From the moment it kicks off it's not hard to see what selectors such as Kai Alce, Deejay Astral, and Chaos in the CBD see in Aakmael's work that makes it so enticing. A fully jazzed out lead line attacks from the get go; as the track builds steam, so to does it's percussive heft. Hisses, clicks, and swung hats gather like a snowball rolling down a hill---all of the sudden this track is massive and you barely see it coming. Panning synth flutters enter the mix around the 2 min mark, locking in the spacier elements of the track before it picks up steam once more, galloping into its final stretch with sparkling vocal cuts and glistening sheen fully in tow.
