Joining us for Tapes #108 is Belgian based DJ and producer Innershades. Influenced by electronic body music, acid house, rude electro and nineties trance, Innershades’ raw yet wistful productions sound like what could be the OST to the golden age of Belgian club life. 

Even though Innershades’ music has stayed faithful to its core tenets, it nonetheless quickly outgrew these geographical and historical surroundings - and landed him spots on labels such as Time Passages, Cabaret Recordings, Cartulis Music, Clone Records and line-ups all over Europe and beyond.

I still can't believe I closed Lowlands 2023 on monday 09:00!

It was a big honour to be asked by the programmer to combine my two DJ styles together. One is my most comfortable. Punky, poppy, indie and mutant disco music that is super danceable and rough around the edges. But house music is relatively new to me, I've only started playing it in clubs around two years ago. To follow up after Berkan V8 & Elias Mazian, such house connoisseurs, felt like a big pressure. 

I'm really happy with how it turned out. The leftfield lyrics ring true to my beliefs and the musical sounds are accessible, exciting and edgy at the same time. Even though you can hear my nerves in some of the transitions I'm glad to have this one online.  

That my musical carreer has now reached this point is truly a dream come true!

Tripped out vibes, percussive drive, guaranteed braindanceability :) Both are currently making waves in the big B, playing Panoramabar and starting their own party series: Sandwich - But for Aachen locals these two had legendary status way before all that.

Jam Session #6 - Multicolour

This is a recording of my set opening the Pandora stage during New Year's Eve at TivoliVredenburg, playtime between 00:10-01:30.

My intention was to start with an inviting, minimal house sound where I could quickly build it up to a more progressive and energizing sound. In the end, I tried to keep it dynamic by using a more genre-blending approach. Hope you’ll enjoy it! :)
