Growing up on Gabber and Hardcore, Nick has been behind the wheels of steel since the tender age of 11, already dishing out music most kids his age would find disturbing. A raver at heart, Nick entered the scene through the dancefloor and through persistence and hard work made his way to the DJ booth, where he found his passion and could realize his musical vision. Now, Nick is in-demand and has played at venues others could only dream of: Boiler Room, Unpolished and Thunderdome are all on his CV and there is no end in sight. Louis Quelin's first project is heavily influenced by the spirit of oldschool, rave-infused techno. A mixture of relentless kicks, enticing melodies and the occasional sample make his sound both unmistakable and irresistible. His technical skill as well as his flawless selection have carried his name far and wide, making him a frequent guest at some of the rawest warehouse parties the french scene has to offer. With venues like Fee Croquer, Contrast and Ninkasi Kao under his belt, it is safe to say that Oposition has secured himself a spot at the top of the game.

Swiss DJ and producer based in Berlin, Chlär is an artist emphasizing groove through blending tribal, vintage style club music with a modern touch. Using 3 or 4 decks in the booth, his high energy mixes combine rhythm-heavy tracks with his own production loops, ensuring the orginality of his work. 

Wearing many hats in his scene, Chlär has worked with leading labels such as Mutual Rytm, Taapion, RAW or Lobster Theremin and co-runs label Bipolar Disorder Rec. 

Not only an artist and sound engineer but also a professional of A&R and events management, Chlär has won the ‘’Raver’s Choice’’ award from the 2021 Raving Spoon Awards, rewarding leading figures of the scene.

This week on the Ismcast we have Caniche.

Before having played in major cities like London, Vienna and Berlin, where she resides today, Caniche developed her penchant for hard but groovy Techno early on. From her very first set in 2018, Caniche’s unique style has always been characterized by combining Tribal Techno and Hardgroove with full-on Schranz. Mesmerizing old school percussion and drums constitute the main element of her mixes. 

While still in the process of developing her own sound as a producer, her recent tracks head in a similar direction, with a first release on Twice Infinity's sub label Groovecore United coming out in January 2023. 

As co-founder and resident of Vienna’s Female DJ Network - PUSH, Caniche fiercely fights for more visibility and equal treatment of FLINTA artists in the harder Techno scene. The network structure aims to connect and be a source of new approaches, mutual support, and inspiration for like minded DJs across Europe.

Martina Menfors is a Gothenburg-based DJ that emerged onto the underground techno scene in 2015. Since then she has been heard in various locations ranging from festivals such as Way out West to underground clubs in Shanghai. Martina was resident at the infamous Rottweiler bar, but is now resident and artist at STRECK. Her sound is known to be eclectic, fast-paced and punky involving everything from industrial techno to trancy melodies.

Expect: energetic, sexy and expressive.
