A discussion with Ramapough Lenape Native American Chief Dwaine Perry on the issues his tribe faces with their local government and township over the access they maintain with their land, specifically the Split Rock Sweetwater Prayer Site. We also discussed how the struggle is largely rooted in institutional racism and the precarity put upon the tribe due to their lack of federal recognition.

This episode features interviews with teen activists for climate that were interviewed at various school strikes for climate in New York City. The podcast also features a questioning session with 16-year-old Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Greta Thunberg, who started this climate movement by striking by herself in Sweden.

I’m Amogh Dimri, a high school student living in New York City. Welcome to my podcast! Here, I talk to people about issues and struggles they face in their community and the increasing precarity of our times.

While the traditional use of the term precarity refers to issues of labor, this podcast strives to define the term using other significant consequences of capitalism (like climate change and identity questions) and the resulting impacts of these issues at the micro and macro levels.

The stories we tell are not only about vulnerabilities and insecurities but also our capacity to bring about change. Thus, the aim of this ethnographical exploration is to trace and observe the social issues of our time through a different approach — one where the human voice is pivotal.
