These timeless pieces by the Telavivian producer Omri Smadar are initiating the new era of Motordiscs. The first proper EP released on Daniel Weil & Greg Davoudian's imprint that before the pandemic was focusing on putting our small compilations.

Ngene Mwaura will forever be known as a brilliant artist and beautiful human being. My new EP titled “Ngene” is a tribute to him. 

Some years back, Ngene and I met at Coachella's DoLab Stage and instantly became friends. His wild, creative passion alongside his sly sense of humor made him a super fun and inspiring companion. 

I have always described music as a non-plausible immediate moment—the threshold between entropic collisions of air pressure. Ngene’s artwork embodies this exact instance—its powerful collision of forces so unlikely that the only way to describe it is as a phenomenon. Like those hallowed audio moments when a musical note piques your ears, Ngene's art opens your eyes. 

Moses Mwaura, Ngene’s brother, has started a fund to help build a museum in Kenya that honors his brother’s work. Tierra Sounds, Michale Sandler and I are donating all sales from the EP to help build the museum.
