The original version of Paul Johnson’s anthem ‘Get Get Down’ was first released in October 1999 as a single from the album,The Groove I Have. The cut topped theBillboard Hot Dance/Club Playchart, peaking for 1 week. Outside the United States the song posed within the top ten of the charts in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Here at Moody Recordings we’re proud to be the initial imprint that brought Paul’s masterpiece to the world and this summer, almost 20 years later, we’re just as honored to host several modern interpretations of his work. The 2018 remixes materialize in this 2 part series from some of house music’s newer talent and respected legends alike.

Spanning a wide range of underground genres, the ‘Get Get Down’ remix packs include well-crafted edits from BOT, Joeski , Bad Boy Bill , Junior Sanchez , Gettoblaster , J. Worra, and Option 4.

As you can imagine, we're sent cat memes all the time. The number of photos with cats in boxes is actually astounding, just as astounding as the amount of demos we receive. We receive so much great music that just doesn't fit into our release schedule, so every now and then we throw a bunch of them into a compilation for you guys. This gives us the chance to showcase many artists from around the world in one dynamite package.

Today we present to you the 6th installment of our Litterbox compilation series. We've tried to build an energy from the beginning, with a crescendo in the middle and an easy finish. There is everything you might expect from a Box of Cats compilation, and probably a bunch of stuff you wouldn’t...

As resistance was no option, we're happy this young talent chose to grab our attention in this unusual manner. Fast forward: Spain based Dutch producer Mike McFly delivering two outright productions that can't wait to grow on those that reside on the dancefloor.

The EP is Mike McFly's personal dedication to Renzo – his father who was so proud of his son's musical goals and supportive during every step of his young career. The original record, a homage to NYC’s rich Latin American dance culture, was as slick, soulful and groove-filled as expected from two generations of the city’s finest. Now one of dance music’s most in demand artists turns his hand at the Nuyorican house cut, bringing his signature club-ready sound to the original. Maintaining Marc E.
