Can't You See Me Cryin'

Perris Alexander was born into a musical family, played piano and sang since the age of five. At sixteen he signed with Jose Feliciano as a studio musician and also worked with major artists in recording studios as a backup musician and vocalist. At seventeen he signed a record deal with Dennis Rose (guitarist and audio engineer for Phil Spector) who was the owner of Golden Goose Productions and recording studio under Dantz/Capital Records. Dennis mentored Perris and taught him how to produce, audio engineer and master great recordings. Perris released his album Still Be Friends. The album used musicians from Ray Charles, The Righteous Brothers, the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra, bass legend John Patitucci and the Aretha Franklin back-up singers. He produced, audio engineered, composed, played keyboards, sang and conducted the orchestra.

Perris attended Cal State University Long Beach and received a B.A. Degree in music. Dennis Rose introduced him to Gwen Gordy of Motown Records. He composed, arranged and did sound design. A friend who was a disk jockey at a radio station got Perris involved in learning voice-overs and playing the hits. Later this led to Perris becoming a radio personality, highly sought after disk jockey, re-mixer and audio mastering engineer. Perris was introduced to so many talented artists that he also worked as a licensed talent agent for some well-known acts. Later, he started his own music publishing company, Perris Music, ASCAP. Over the years, Perris continued to do a lot of studio work as producer, audio engineer, composer, arranger, musician and vocalist. His jingles frequented the radio airwaves. He was an independent producer involved both in music and video production, doing projects for corporate, TV commercials, NBC, CBS and HBO to name a few.

Perris played keyboards for The Centurions and received a platinum sales award (soundtrack of the year) for their song Bullwinkle Part II in the award-winning movie Pulp Fiction. He also produced, audio engineered, composed and played keyboards for the new Centurion album Bullwinkle Part III. Perris was one of the composers, music editor, music producer and audio engineer for the all-star cast and award-winning movie Chinaman's Chance. Perris was executive producer for the XXXtreme Comedy Tour pilot (Comedy Central) and was also producer, music supervisor, audio engineer, music producer and composer. He is the creator, executive producer and producer for the music reality TV show America’s Music Star and World Music Star. Perris is the CEO and executive producer for Right Door Productions Multimedia Group, LLC.
