🎙️PÉRIPÉTIES - SAISON #1, l’Épisode 4 - starring @blanco_verde 🤩🔥💜

@blanco_verde nous offre un dernier épisode acrobatique, en équilibre entre un nombre hors du commun d’influences, mariées à merveille pendant un peu plus de 60 minutes bien trop courtes.

Le blanc-vert prend le Madonna d’incipit à contrepieds, en nous proposant un premier tiers de set planant, deep house, progressive house, parfois italo. Des nappes omniprésentes et quelques touches d’acid. ✨ 

Puis vient la première cassure, vers un second tiers de set pendant lequel la fièvre monte. D’une techno parfois tribale, parfois industrielle, aux premiers rythmes breakés, l’envie de danser démange, puis devient irrésistible au cours d’un peak time piano / break exceptionnel ! 🕺 

Avant la préparation du final, nouveau virage pour un dernier tier plus sérieux, plus sophistiqué, après un pont ambient, l’apparition d’intelligent Drum&Bass parfois dubbée, d’autres jazzy, amenant parfaitement à une conclusion ambient x Bicep (x Madonna ?). 

😌 Une fois de plus, quel voyage !

Péripéties saison #1, c'est 4 dj-sets d’artistes invité.e.s, avec une contrainte forte : les tracks de début et de fin sont imposés ! "Nous écrivons l’incipit, nous écrivons l’excipit, et laissons le soin aux invité.e.s de compléter le récit en écrivant les… Péripéties !” ✍️

This special holiday episode of SPS comes in three parts: (1) In order to make sense of the present, Platypus is hosting an international series of panels "Left Perspectives on the Israel-Palestine Conflict". In the first segment, member Gabe G. and Pamela N. reflect on the first panel of the series, which took place at the University of Chicago. They take up disagreements as well as the assumed agreement and the response from the audience. (2) In the second segment you'll hear soundbites and brief interviews from pro-Palestine rallies recorded by our members in Philadelphia and Auckland, New Zealand. (3) The third part is a deep dive into the Platypus archives. The current conflict has prompted Rebekkah and Lisa to speak with our member Ian M. about past engagements from our archives. They talked about the founding moment of Platypus as well as past panel initiatives on the politics of solidarity and decolonization.
