Née d'un milieu très modeste, elle est mariée très jeune à un bijoutier de Paris, le sieur Antoine Montvoisin qui lui donna une fille, et de qui elle devint vite veuve.
Entre temps, elle amasse une fortune considérable avec ses activités de chiromancienne et de vente de poisons. Très connue par ses contemporains (principalement des femmes) dans ces domaines, elle est suspectée d'être à la tête d'un réseau d'environ 100 empoisonneurs qui sévirent pour le compte de la haute société à la fin du XVII siècle, ce qui la fit mêler à l'« affaire des Poisons ». 
Elle est également connue pour sa pratique d'avortements, illégaux et sévèrement punis à l'époque.

Poison Affair is a project born in 2016 from a devious mind inspired by The Affair of the Poisons (L'affaire des poisons):

It was a major murder scandal in France which took place in 1677–1682, during the reign of King Louis XIV. During it, a number of prominent members of the aristocracy were implicated and sentenced on charges of poisoning and witchcraft. The scandal reached into the inner circle of the king. It led to the execution of 36 people.

The sound expressed is marked on stomping, fast and syncopate techno.
Then it need a platform to express this music in total freedom so the exigency to create a self label called Ritual.

So there is no demo policy, because there won't be any other artist except Poison Affair.
