Written whilst journeying through the Scottish Highlands.

Autumnsong on the air
And trees are falling down the stairs
And theres you, waiting below

The long slow fire of the fall
A bush of flame devours all
It's meaning lost on me

Trying to find some words to say
Of mountains so vast of mist so grey
And your face so very fine

If only my mind could paint as my eye
A sky full of birds in a theatre of light
Yet i forget my lines

So ill return to the bed we shared
As snowfall thickens on the air
And i'll kiss the dust from your lips

Like flamingos treading on thin air
