I was asked to Dj a Prince Paul in store at a local San Jose record store, Needle to the Groove. They wanted me to play Native Tongue and Native Tongue adjacent tracks. I put thought into what I was going to play, and didn't want to come with the same 'ol same. I started looking through my 45s and noticed how many, flips, edits, covers, whatever it is you want to call it nowadays. So I took this approach and was very happy with the outcome. Big ups to Needle to the Groove for having me, DJ Platurn for the inspiration and of course Prince Paul for everything he's done, too much to name.
