Lately, his name is often echoing in the techno scene, with his releases on various well known labels and collaborations with names like @justineperry, @ferniemusic and others. Last year in autumn we went to visit Istanbul. Of course, at some point, we started to search for a techno club. We found one in the area of our hotel, checked the music styles of the djs here on the SC, sounded really nice, so we went out.
We arrived to Tempel, came to the dark door on the bottom of the resto, and walked in.
In that moment Hakan was mixing and I remeber my first thought - are we in Berghain? His music was sooo beautiful, we got lost in the dance very easily, danced all night, after his set I had to compliment him and so we got to know each other, also with his manager and the owner of the club, who was already playing for Raumvier and we can´t wait to host Hakan as well. Placid. Adjective. Meaning: “calm and peaceful,”. As far as DJ names go this one might describe Craig’s personality, but when it comes to his style of music, it's diametrically opposite to as his name describes.
Craig Placid has created a sound that’s best described as deeply complex Techno, characterized by Hypnotic Rhythms that are driven by Multi-Dimensional Beats. 

Now based in the United States, Craig is originally from Johannesburg South Africa where he played alongside his brother Grant VR as Sound Sensible, now stalwarts of the South African techno scene, the culture of dance music is forged in blood between these two. Playing together for over 17 years earning their respect amongst South Africa’s more discerning music lovers and DJ’s alike. 
As one of the resident DJ’s at TOYTOY in Johannesburg Craig Placid has helped the brand establish itself as one of the premier underground dance music nights in South Africa.

Bmbmnd is a project born in 2015 from the mind of Andrea Domeniconi. Inspired by ambient and hypnotic techno, he developed his own style, with mixing dark ambient sound with some groovy bassline in order to create meaningful atmospheres that together form Andrea's unconscious.
