The World Cup Break

Hello everyone and welcome to the first podcast of 2023 and much like Spurs we are making a stuttering start to the new year.  Sadly my router went the way of our defending and I was left using a hot spot from my phone.... a Tottenham Hotspot if you will... and as such me and Matt on a few occasions could not hear each other and I am really sorry about that.  The wonderful people at my broadband provider have sent me via courier a new router (set to arrive this afternoon) so hopefully that will work wonderfully and this shaky start will be a thing of the past... much like I hope Tottenham now kick on!

We talk about the Villa game, we talk about the Palace game... we talk a little about the upcoming FA Cup game but mostly we focus on ENIC, the club mentality from the top (Mr Levy) and generally share our thoughts on where we are, why we are there and what could we do to move forward.

Instead we make a plea really to our fellow fans to stop the moaning and back Ange.  This is season one of a complete rebuild of the club, we are a squad of failed managers visions and we are without the greatest striker in the world and yet we are still up there fighting for a place in Europe playing the best football we have seen (albeit abandoned us last few weeks) in years.

So on this show we make a case for backing Ange and not doing the madness of trying to replace him and starting again... again... as that really would not make any sense.

A bad run or end of the line

Welcome back to our show where today... I am going rogue again, just to see if anyone actually reads these.

How are you all?  I am good, seem to be catching one cold after another though - which is annoying... time of year of course... my daughter started 6th form... I am not okay with that at all; she did well in her GCSE's by the way... I would tell you the grades but I honestly do not understand them anymore as they are numbers - I mean what bright spark thought that was a good idea... I swear sometimes changes are made just to make changes and to seem like they are doing anything... political class for you, doesnt matter what party... all just having a party while the rest of us pay.  I mean our new PM is a f**king Gooner... eugh.... anyway;

Hello and welcome to 2025; we hope you all had a good Christmas.... were you well behaved?  Did Santa bring you presents or coal?

So a new year has begun and we face familiar problems of a squad held together by sticky tape and a transfer window where the board have the chance to show us they want to win... but will most likely do nothing and then sack another manager...

ANYWAY Ho Ho Ho Happy New Year... C'mon you Spurs.. a few wins and this season will suddenly look better.

New year same old problems

Things are a bit rubbish at the moment and we discuss that a but but we also discuss how great it felt seeing three academy players all score for us in Europe.

Yes... we discuss the league position but also how great it was to see Scarlett score... and yeah we discuss the lack of signings and squad depth but also Ajayi and Moore scoring trademark goals for them at senior level... 

YES we talk Levy and the miss management but also we discuss Van de Ven coming back for 45 minutes and showing us all just how quality he is...

The kids are alright

Hello and welcome back to our show where today we split the show in two.  The first part we briefly chat about the win over Brentford in the league, the semi-final defeat at Liverpool and look ahead (briefly) to the FA cup tie at Villa Park this weekend.

The second part is we talk about the window and try to offer a different perspective to the one about spend and net spend all the time and just how the inaction is about more than money... and how it seems to impact the club again and again and again going back decades now.

On the show today we talk briefly of the win over Ipswich but then turn to the performance against City and then took a deep dive into fellow fan questions and topics.

Bilbao or bust

Hello fellow Tottenham Hotspur fans (COYS, Daniel),

On the show today we start with a loan update where I list the players who are out at other clubs and provide an update on how their season is going ... before we get back to how our season is at the club...

It is at this point it goes off the rails a little really and so I should maybe say sorry as I was annoyed and struggling with how to convey my annoyance at all matters.

As always, just my opinion and who cares as I sound like the love child of a farmer and a pirate.

As cursed as an Egyptian tomb

So the dream lives on... we advance in the Europa League and we have a chat about that and touch briefly on the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth but right now it would appear that its Europa League or nothing and we need to be at our best in the next round as we face German side Frankfurt.

No show next week, international break so enjoy your time off from any football that matters before the madness resumes against Chelsea.. always a fun game for us that... ffs

Oh we play Fulham before the break but ... not Europa League so who cares right!? .. I am just trying to get through the season, dont judge me!!

Ep267 Its all a bit rubbish

Welcome back to our show where today we are discussing all things Tottenham Hotspur but with a bit of a spring in our step as we enjoy the win over Frankfurt and the fact we have progressed to the semi-final of the Europa League.

On the show I say sorry for missing a few weeks, I know from a few messages in others were guessing it was due to our form and although yes my mother taught me "if nothing nice to say, say nothing.." and that would be a valid reason not to podcast after the Wolves game or any game in the league really... there were other issues.. basically blame Polynesian Dan!

We talk about just how bad the league season has been in comparison to other bad Premier League years.. I actually left out the loss percentage discussion as I was overall trying to be "up" and positive that maybe... just maybe... we can do something this season worth remembering.

A very good Friday

Is anyone still listening?  Is anyone still reading this?  How are you doing?  I must admit, its been a whole lot tougher than any of us could have predicted but we are nearly there, the season is nearly over and we can all pretend for a brief period of time like this football club does not exist and then by August somehow be convinced we are going to win it all... again...

On the show today we discuss the defeat to Forest, Cuti and his interview, the players motivation issues and how the club possibly are directing that due to the very serious financial impact winning the Europa League will have - not in prize money this season... are league form has killed that... but in terms of UCL qualification.

If you are still listening and in fact reading this.. you are without doubt a battle hardened Tottenham Hotspur (COYS, Daniel) fan.. you have earned your Spurs! 

Five more league games to endure

Welcome to our show this week where its a short chat with Stephan... talking to Stephan... sadly last minute Sam cried off sick, something to do with ice bath training ready for a trip to the arctic circle... I dunno...

ANYWAY on the show a brief chat about that Liverpool game, a longer chat about winning a European semi final 3-1 (albeit only the first leg), some thoughts on TIFO comparisons.. and more.. not much more but a little more.

Europa League Final Preview Show

Welcome to our podcast where for the first time since we launched this show we are celebrating a trophy... we have had finals and defeats, we have had nearly runs in the league since we started but this is it, the first trophy and its safe to say we do not actually know how to act...

On the show Sam and Stephan just talk about their reaction but then the focus is on the players, the manager.. and their individual and collective reactions.  It was special and I am still drinking it in 24 hours later.  As I hope you all are.

A night to remember

Firstly thank you for listening to us this season, this is our final show of 2024/25 and its been an experience that is for sure!  Secondly thank you for reading this, not many people do and I have to come up with something to go here every week!

On the show we try to make sense of the emotions of a season like no other... 17th in the league but Europa League winners.... 17th in the league but a Champions league place next season... 17th in the league but do we care?

The 2024-25 Season Finale

Our very own Matt sat down with club legend Paul 'Maxi' Miller to discuss all things Tottenham both past and present.  The chat brought up some rare gems of information including how an England legend is the reason Paul ended up at Spurs despite when 10 years old was with Chelsea's academy.

Now, here is an apology.  The interview was outside and therefore the sound quality is not the best.  Between planes over head, London traffic, a bar emptying out glass on three occasions and what at one time sounds like a gun shot.... (I am assured it was not) there is plenty in the background to distract but the content of the chat is brilliant so we hope you enjoy.
