Still absolutely buzzing from last Saturday 🔥🎃. What a night! Insomniacz’s 26th Birthday was an unforgettable Halloween celebration at the legendary Emporium in Coalville - an iconic venue that defined the Superclub era and remains one of the Midlands’ true institutions of dance culture 🏛️💫.

The Emporium has been lovingly restored to its former glory, complete with the DJ booth back in its rightful home in the Blue Room (the Main Room for many of us who grew up on those nights). The grand reopening of the Red Room raised the bar even higher with a full 360° DJ booth, a stunning laser display and a completely upgraded sound system that shook the walls – #rememberwhereyouseenitfirst ❤️‍🔥.

Playing my unique blend of Trance to a packed, high-energy crowd in that room again was something special. A true nod to the spirit and magic of the 90s 🔥🕺. I opened my set with a very special intro, Skip Raiders - Just Another Day and included by my Crazy Cranberries Mashup. If you haven’t heard it live yet, I'll let you figure out what it is 🙂. From there it was pure ammunition all night, balancing the familiar with the unexpected: moments built around the exciting and fresh talents of Laura May, Bryn Whiting, Miyuki and Siege to name but a few. Each of their tunes adding a unique flavour to the set 🎶💥.

The connection, atmosphere and sheer intensity inside that venue were unforgettable. A perfect reminder of what makes Insomniacz such a cornerstone of the UK Trance scene. It’s also been one of my most requested sets to date, which makes it all the more special 🙏💿.

Massive thanks to everyone who came, danced and celebrated with us 🙌💫.
Here’s to the next chapter… and to keeping that Emporium energy alive 🔊💖.

Absolutely delighted to have been invited to close out 2025 with an exclusive two-hour set for AH.FM’s End of the Year Countdown 🚀. It is always a privilege to be part of something special, but being given the space to properly tell a story across two hours made this one especially meaningful.

This REBOOTED set is pure forward-motion from start to finish and a reflection of where things are right now. Relentless energy, hand-picked exclusives, a few unknown IDs, as well as a blend of tracks that caught my attention and shaped my thinking over the course of the year. No filler and no distractions. Just driving, euphoric Trance built for momentum and impact 💣💥.

A snapshot of ideas, sounds and directions that felt exciting in the moment, rather than a collection of established classics. Some tracks hit immediately, others are there because they sparked something or pushed the edges of what I wanted this set to be. Everything here earned its place in that context. Loaded front to back, pressure always on, never letting the intensity drop 🔊🙌.

Massive thanks to AH.FM for the invitation and for continuing to champion Trance on a global scale. If you were going to draw a line under the year, this is how I wanted to do it.

Eddie Swales' passion is trance music. 3 years ago he took the plunge and took a keen interest in DJing. 

Eddie Swales has a passion for the classics and a substantial back catalogue, influenced from the Gatecrasher era of the late 90s and early 2000s. His style is diverse and continues to evolve, playing tech, uplifting and vocal trance both classic and current.

Eddie quickly realised from his impressive reach with his mixes and radio shows that he had discovered a raw talent and an outlet for his love for all things trance.

2023 was Eddie’s breakthrough year. Following the success of his online mixes Eddie has gained a loyal and ever-growing fan base which was soon noticed by Scott Bond. Seeing his devotion to the music that fuelled a generation, Eddie was chosen to play a set at the after-party of the Rebooted event in Sheffield.

Following this he has also played at Anomaly’s ASOL, Binary Finary’s Classic Trance event Unified, Reminiscence, Timescape, The Trance Empire and Club Classics, warming up for AJ Gibson, Lost Witness, Kyau & Albert, The Thrillseekers and Signum. Eddie has also played internationally for Euphoria Weekender in Malta and also One More Time in Ibiza.

With his sights set on entering the realms of production in the future, Eddie continues to express his love for our favourite genre via as many avenues as possible.

"Tune selection really is an art and in order to get it right, it requires significant preparation and having the right amount of ingredients. It has always been about the journey. Therefore, variety is required to aid the listeners on their nostalgic fix with a torrent of dancefloor destroyers to those forgotten treasures which were unfortunately overshadowed at the time."
