Following on from my mixes featuring Mauro Picotto, Marco V, M.I.K.E. Push & Airwave this is my final (for now) tribute mix and this one is dedicated to my Trance hero and all time favourite Trance DJ & producer Ferry Corsten. This is a combination of 33 original tracks or remixes from the man from Rotterdam. 

Quite simply without the music of Ferry Corsten my life could and probably would be very different from what it is today. March 1999 saw the UK release of Out Of The Blue under his alias System F. That was followed a couple of months later by the release of an album called Trance Nation on Ministry of Sound that was mixed by Ferry. This was the album that shaped the future of music for me and my obsession with Trance had begun. I've had the pleasure of seeing him play live a few times and even the hpnpur of meeting him after a set of his at Slinky either 2003 or 2004 (pictured).

People may think there are some obvious tracks missing but this is what I had in my collection at the time of recording so this is what I've picked. It was only going to be 25 tunes but I got carried away. Ooops!

PULSER Showcase

Ever since 1999, Steve Helstrip has been one of the most prominent and successful trance producers the UK has ever seen. Under his own aliases ‘The Thrillseekers’, ‘En-Motion’ and ‘Hydra’ and also his collaborations with Andy Perring (Insigma), Tim Stark (Rapid Eye) and Paul Mendez (Morpheus), he has released some of the most memorable and loved tunes we have ever heard.

Eddie Swales' passion is trance music. 2 years ago he took the plunge and took a keen interest in DJing. 

Eddie Swales has a passion for the classics and a substantial back catalogue, influenced from the Gatecrasher era of the late 90s and early 2000s. His style is diverse and continues to evolve, playing tech, uplifting and vocal trance both classic and current.

Eddie quickly realised from his impressive reach with his mixes and radio shows that he had discovered a raw talent and an outlet for his love for all things trance.

2023 has been Eddie Swales’ breakthrough year. Following the success of his online mixes Eddie has gained a loyal and ever-growing fan base which was soon noticed by Scott Bond. Seeing his devotion to the music that fuelled a generation, Eddie was chosen to play a set at the after-party of the Rebooted event in Sheffield.

Following this he has also played at Anomaly’s ASOL, Binary Finary’s Classic Trance event Unified, Reminiscence and supporting Euphoria Weekender favourite Maria Healy at Captured Emotions pres. Affinity.

With his sights set on entering the realms of production in the future, Eddie continues to express his love for our favourite genre via as many avenues as possible.

"Tune selection really is an art and in order to get it right, it requires significant preparation and having the right amount of ingredients. It has always been about the journey. Therefore, variety is required to aid the listeners on their nostalgic fix with a torrent of dancefloor destroyers to those forgotten treasures which were unfortunately overshadowed at the time."
