A mix i've had in my mind for a while now! I've always loved the versatility in Guy Ornadel's sets, he was technically very good on vinyl and could play a bit of everything in his sets no matter how long or short he had to play. In true Guy style this mix has a progressive start before moving through the gears into trance and then ending out with about 30 minutes of dark/hard trance. All tracks in this mix feature in Guy's various CD releases and on his Radio 1 Essential Mix from 2000. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together:

Anomaly Summer Of Love 2024

Vinyl Destination Presents the second , vinyl only volume of original productions, collaborations, co-productions (Yves Deruyter) and remixes from Mike Dierickx aka M.I.K.E. Push. Born in Antwerp, Belgium but now a resident of New York City, M.I.K.E. is without a doubt one of the greatest Trance producers of all time. His productions under a plethora of different pseudonyms and aliases are instantly recognisable. Arguably his most famous track, Universal Nation has been awarded gold status in Belgium for selling 25,000 and 100million streams.

Volume 1 of my M.I.K.E. Push showcase can be found in my "Artist Showcases" play list. That mix features all of the classic Push tunes and some of his more familiar remixes. Volume 2 (this mix) therefore naturally explores somre of his lesser known tracks and remixes and a few more of his earlier productions. I've tried to keep a flow to it as I do with all my mixes ending with some of darker more pounding tunes.

It's not a perfect mix but it is vinyl only and I'm very happy with it and how it compliments volume 1.

I hope anybody who gives it a listen enjoys it.

Eddie Swales' passion is trance music. 3 years ago he took the plunge and took a keen interest in DJing. 

Eddie Swales has a passion for the classics and a substantial back catalogue, influenced from the Gatecrasher era of the late 90s and early 2000s. His style is diverse and continues to evolve, playing tech, uplifting and vocal trance both classic and current.

Eddie quickly realised from his impressive reach with his mixes and radio shows that he had discovered a raw talent and an outlet for his love for all things trance.

2023 was Eddie’s breakthrough year. Following the success of his online mixes Eddie has gained a loyal and ever-growing fan base which was soon noticed by Scott Bond. Seeing his devotion to the music that fuelled a generation, Eddie was chosen to play a set at the after-party of the Rebooted event in Sheffield.

Following this he has also played at Anomaly’s ASOL, Binary Finary’s Classic Trance event Unified, Reminiscence and supporting Euphoria Weekender favourite Maria Healy at Captured Emotions pres. Affinity. Eddie also played his first international gig at Euphoria Weekender playing 2 sets over the 5 days.

With his sights set on entering the realms of production in the future, Eddie continues to express his love for our favourite genre via as many avenues as possible.

"Tune selection really is an art and in order to get it right, it requires significant preparation and having the right amount of ingredients. It has always been about the journey. Therefore, variety is required to aid the listeners on their nostalgic fix with a torrent of dancefloor destroyers to those forgotten treasures which were unfortunately overshadowed at the time."
